Walter Hawkins is an American gospel singer, pianist, and songwriter. Hawkins is the pastor of the Love Center Church in Fairfield, CA, and has been in ministry for over 40 years. He is best known for his song "Oh Happy Day", which was released in 1969 and became a gospel classic. Hawkins has won several Grammy Awards and Dove Awards, and has been inducted into the GMA Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
