Kyrgyzstan, officially the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyz: Кыргыз Республикасы, Kyrgyz Respublikasy), is a landlocked country in Central Asia. Kyrgyzstan is a member of the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), and the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
