The Continental Divide of the Americas, often referred to as the Great Divide or simply the Continental Divide, is the principal divide of drainage systems for the Americas. It is the hydrological divide that separates the watersheds that drain into the Pacific Ocean from those that drain into the Atlantic and Arctic oceans.
