Montrose → US-50 E → I-70 E → US-285 S → US-64 W → I-40 W → Albuquerque. ~340 mi, 5 hr 15 min. Avoids high passes.

Considerations

• Winter: US-550 over Red Mountain & Molas Passes often closes; carry chains, check COtrip / NMRoads.
