Who was the first to call Americas a new world?

The first person known to use the phrase "New World" is Amerigo Vespucci, after whom America is named. In his letters, he referred to the Americas as "Mundus Novus", meaning "new world" in Latin. These letters were published in 1507, making Vespucci the first person to publically refer to the Americas as "New World".
