The Turkish lira (TRY) is the official currency of:

• Turkey
• Northern Cyprus (Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, recognized only by Turkey)

It is issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey. The subunit is the kuruş (1/100 lira). No other sovereign state uses the lira.
