Tallest Mountains in the Middle East

The highest peaks are in Iran’s Alborz and Zagros ranges:

1. Mount Damavand (Alborz): 5,671 m (18,605 ft) – potentially active stratovolcano, highest in Iran/Western Asia.
2. Mount Shahrestan (Alborz): 4,660 m (15,289 ft) – 3rd highest in Iran.
3. Mount Nabi Isa (Alborz): 4,555 m (14,944 ft) – 4th highest.
4. Zagros Mountains (Dena peak): 4,548 m (14,921 ft) – highest of the Zagros, spanning Iran, Iraq, Turkey.

All are in Iran; Damavand is the overall highest.
