What is the population of Kalahari?

There isn't a single town or city named "Kalahari". The Kalahari Desert is a semi-arid savanna ecoregion of Southern Africa covering much of Botswana, parts of Namibia, and some areas of South Africa. It does not have a set population as it is not an administrative region or settlement.
