How many amendments have been passed?

As of January 2023, there have been 27 amendments to the United States Constitution. The first ten amendments are collectively known as the Bill of Rights. The amendments that followed the Bill of Rights address various topics, such as slavery, voting rights, income tax, and presidential term limits.
