  1. Jekyll Island Campground

    • Jekyll Island is a 5,700-acre island accessible by bridge on Georgia's Atlantic Ocean coastline. The 18-acre campground on the island near Driftwood Beach can accommodate tents, campers and RVs with pull-through sites with full utility hook-ups including Wi-Fi. The park includes a convenience store with camping supplies and bike rentals to explore the island's 22 miles of paths. Enjoy one of the many attractions on Jekyll Island, including three 18-hole golf courses, the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, a water park and historic museum. Campers on the island can enjoy hiking, fishing, swimming on sandy beaches, boating and horseback riding. More than 15 restaurants and bars offer food from sandwiches and pizza to fine dining.

    John Tanner State Park

    • John Tanner State Park, about 40 miles west of Atlanta near Carrollton, has the largest sand swim beach in a state park in Georgia. The lakeside campground offers sites for tents, campers, RVs and motel units along with a group lodge that sleeps 40. Utility hook-ups include 30-amp electrical and water only, with restrooms and showers available. For recreation, the park offers horseshoes, volleyball, mini-golf and hiking as well as pedal and fishing boat rental.

    Red Top Mountain State Park

    • Red Top Mountain State Park is 20 miles northwest of Marietta directly on Lake Allatoona. The camp includes water, electric service, picnic tables and fire rings at sites for tents, campers and RVs. The campground also features a yurt that sleeps up to six and several rental cottages. Restrooms and showers are available to campers. Visitors of the park enjoy over 12 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails, a mini-golf course and tennis courts in addition to swim beaches, fishing and boating.

    River's End Campground

    • River's End Campground is 18 miles east of Savannah on Tybee Island, which is accessible by Highway 80, where the Savannah River meets the Atlantic Ocean. The campground is only two blocks from Tybee Island's three miles of sandy beaches. River's End accommodates tents, campers and RVs with full utility hook-ups including cable TV and Wi-Fi, in addition to cabin rentals. Guests of the campground can enjoy the pool, book exchange, game room and family movies on weekend evenings at the park's screened pavilion. Campers venturing out of the campground to Tybee Island will find over 30 restaurants, bars, nature trails with bird watching, the Tybee Island Marine Science Center, two lighthouses and dolphin tours.
