Campgrounds in Northern Georgia

North Georgia is best known for its many parks and mountains. The northeastern part of Georgia is home to parts of the Appalachian Mountain range and the Blue Ridge Mountains, and Chattachoochee-Oconee National Forest is also located in north Georgia. The area is popular with residents and visitors alike for outdoor activities, especially hiking. Many people from around the world come through north Georgia each year while walking the famous Appalachian Trail. If you want to enjoy the fullness of nature, northern Georgia has a number of campgrounds, many of which allow both tent camping and recreational vehicle, or RV, camping.
