Saudi Arabia is a country on the Arabian Peninsula in Western Asia. It is the largest country in the peninsula by land area, and is the second-largest Arab state. The country is bordered by Jordan and Iraq to the north, Kuwait to the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates to the east, Oman to the southeast, Yemen to the south, and the Red Sea to the west. Saudi Arabia is home to the two holiest cities in Islam, Mecca and Medina. The country is also home to a large amount of oil and natural gas reserves, and is the world's largest exporter of crude oil.
