When was shenandoah national park discovered?
Shenandoah National Park was not "discovered" in the traditional sense. The lands that now comprise the park were inhabited by various Native American tribes for centuries before European exploration. The first Europeans to explore the area were likely Spanish explorers in the 16th century. In the 17th and 18th centuries, the area was settled by European colonists. The park was established in 1935 by the United States Congress.
