Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn: Location and Highlights

Eastern Parkway runs east–west for ~2.5 miles (200 ft wide) from Grand Army Plaza (Soldiers' & Sailors' Arch) in Prospect Heights to the Brownsville/East New York border. Designed by Olmsted & Vaux (Central Park creators), completed 1874. Popular with cyclists, joggers. Home to Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Lined with historic mansions (Vanderbilt House, Lefferts House). Remains a key borough thoroughfare.
