The Gulf of Aqaba is a 175 km long (109 miles) gulf of the Red Sea proper, located between the Sinai Peninsula of Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula. It stretches from the Strait of Tiran in the south to the city of Aqaba, Jordan in the north.
