Queen Elizabeth II never had an official residence in Malta. However, during state visits, she stayed at the Palace of San Anton in Attard.
Built in the early 17th century as a Grand Master’s palace, San Anton became the official residence of the Governor during British rule and later the President of Malta. Its extensive gardens are open to the public. The Queen visited Malta multiple times, notably in 1954, 1967, 1992, 2005, 2007, and 2015 (Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting).
