Are There Wild Tigers in Peru? No—But Jaguars Roam the Amazon

There are no wild tigers in Peru. Tigers are native to Asia, ranging from Siberia to Southeast Asia. However, Peru is home to the jaguar (Panthera onca), the largest cat in the Americas and the third-largest big cat worldwide after tigers and lions.
