Mountains: Montenegro is home to several mountain ranges, including the Dinaric Alps and the Prokletije Mountains. The Dinaric Alps stretch along the Adriatic coast and form a natural border between Montenegro and Croatia. The highest peak in the Dinaric Alps is Mount Lovćen, which stands at an impressive 1,749 meters (5,738 feet) above sea level.
The Prokletije Mountains, also known as the Accursed Mountains, are located in the northeastern part of Montenegro and form a natural border with Albania. Maja e Jezercës is the highest peak in the Prokletije Mountains, with an elevation of 2,694 meters (8,838 feet).
Volcanoes: There are no active volcanoes in Montenegro. However, there is evidence of past volcanic activity in the form of volcanic rocks and lava flows found in various parts of the country.
