Create a photo at a MTA Service Center. Visit the walk-in service center at 3 Stone Street in Lower Manhattan, weekdays between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, or one of the MTA's Senior Citizen MetroCard centers on their designated day.
Bring verification of your age if you are over 65, and a Medicare card or application certified by a physician if you are disabled. Complete the application.
Allow the clerk to take your photograph. They will use it on your new Reduced-Fare MetroCard.
Go to a photo booth or passport photographer. You can find booths at post offices, mailing centers, or in shopping centers. You can also take the picture yourself.
Have a picture taken in front of a solid backdrop, with your face fully forward.
Make sure the printed picture measures two inches high and one and a half inches wide.
Submit the picture with your mailed-in application.
