Where is Southend on Sea?

Southend-on-Sea is located on the south-eastern coast of England, in the ceremonial county of Essex. It lies at the mouth of the Thames Estuary, where the River Thames meets the North Sea. Southend-on-Sea is approximately 40 miles (64 kilometres) east of London and 15 miles (24 kilometres) west of Southend Airport. It is a popular seaside resort and tourist destination, known for its pier, beach, and amusement park.
