Does Romania belong to the Schengen?

Romania is not yet part of the Schengen Area. Romania, alongside Bulgaria, Croatia, and Cyprus are EU member states which do not participate in the Schengen Area. However, Romania is currently in the process of joining the Schengen Area with an accession target date of December 2024.
