There are several options to get prepaid SIM cards for mobile phones in Germany:

1. Telecom Shops: You can find prepaid SIM cards directly from telecommunications service providers such as Deutsche Telekom, Vodafone, and O2 in their physical stores.

2. Electronics Retailers: Major electronics retailers like Media Markt, Saturn, and Conrad carry prepaid SIM cards from different providers.

3. Supermarkets: Some large supermarkets like ALDI, Lidl, and Edeka also offer prepaid SIM cards.

4. Gas Stations: Some gas stations may carry prepaid SIM cards as well.

5. Online: You can also purchase prepaid SIM cards online through the official websites or online stores of the telecommunications providers.

When purchasing a prepaid SIM card, you will typically need to provide your identification documents (usually your passport or ID card) and proof of address (for example, a utility bill). The activation process may vary slightly depending on the provider.
