Is Athens on the Aegean Sea or Mediterranean Sea?

Athens is not located on the coastline. It is in the Attica region of Greece, which is bordered by the Aegean Sea to the east. Piraeus, located about 10 kilometers southwest of Athens, is the port of Athens and is situated on the Saronic Gulf, a part of the Aegean Sea.
