How is Aruba related to Amsterdam in the Netherlands?

Aruba is a constituent country of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, which also includes the Netherlands proper (in Europe) and Curaçao and Sint Maarten (in the Caribbean). As such, Aruba is part of the Dutch Kingdom, but it is not a part of the Netherlands itself. Aruba has its own government, currency, and legal system, and its citizens are Dutch nationals.
