The Walled City of Kowloon, also known as the City of Darkness, was a densely populated settlement in Hong Kong that existed from the 1940s until its demolition in 1994.
It was located in Kowloon City District, on a former military hilltop called Kowloon Peak. The Walled City was notorious for its high crime rate, lack of government control, and poor living conditions.
