What became of the Austria Hungary after world war 1?
After World War 1, the Austro-Hungarian Empire was dismantled and partitioned between the victorious Allied Powers. Much of the empire's territory was used to create new nation states, including Austria, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Poland, and Yugoslavia. Some areas were also ceded to Italy and Romania. The empire's dissolution marked the end of the Habsburg dynasty, which had ruled over the region for centuries.
