Delta and Alaska leave as early as 6 a.m. and as late as 7 p.m. Each offers about six more departures between those hours. United is next with four choices, earliest at 6:33 a.m. and latest at 3:09 p.m. Air Canada has only one departure, at 10:41 a.m.
Delta and Alaska offered the lowest return fares with two-week advance bookings ranging from $312 to $382, including taxes and airport charges, as of 2010. All airlines charged additional for checked-in baggage, from $20 to $25 for the first bag.
As of 2010, with few exceptions, all flights from Reno to the hub cities are on small commuter jets. From there to Vancouver fligths are via the smaller regional airlines such Skywest, United Express and Horizon. Alaska Airlines itself had several flights from Los Angeles on larger aircraft.
