Royal Jordanian airplanes feature two classes: economy and crown. Economy class offers standard Airbus amenities including overhead and under-the-seat luggage storage and headphone jacks for entertainment. As the name indicates, crown class features luxury amenities such as extra large "sleeper" seats, personal video screens and satellite telephone service.
Royal Jordanian passengers can pre-order meals based on dietary and religious preferences 24 hours in advance of flight. Passengers without dietary preferences can select gourmet "a la carte" light meals, meat-based entrees and desserts. In spite of the airline's Islamic heritage, which forbids alcohol consumption, passengers can purchase alcoholic beverages to drink in-flight as well as duty-free alcohol by the bottle.
RTT News reports that Royal Jordanian purchased three Boeing 787 Dreamliners, as of September 2010. The airline indicates that it plans to use the long-distance, fuel-efficient aircrafts for flights to North America.
