American Airlines Flight Information

Formed in 1929, American Airlines began as a commercial airline that flew cargo services for US airmail. American Airlines flew the first commercial service to Europe in the 1940s. Today it is one of the world's largest commercial air carriers.

    • American Airlines flight information is available online and can be searched by a variety of means. Visit AA.com and click "Travel Information," then "Gates and Times," then enter the flight number and the flight date. If you don't have either piece of information, you can select the departure or arrival city and the approximate time of the flight.

    Airport information

    • American Airlines offers passengers full, detailed information about all of its sales and check-in counters. From the main page of AA.com, select "Travel Information" and then "Airport Information." Then select your departure airport and click the plus sign to see the hours of operation, to find a link to your airport's website and to to use self-service check in.

    American Airlines Timetables

    • American Airlines Timetables is computer software that is available free from AA.com. After downloading and installing the software, you can search flights, build connections and even create and print flight itineraries from your home PC.
