Pereta is a small village in the center of Italy's famous region of Tuscany with two bars, a village shop and two ancient churches. Dating back to the ninth century, it is a picturesque example of an Italian hilltop village.

    • Tuscany has a mild climate and the weather does not change much from season to season. Winter, fall and spring can be rainy and summers are hot and dry.

    • There are no hotels in town but the closest hotel is about three miles away, Antico Casale di Scansano, which is also a wellness center and riding school. La Fornacina Country House, Relais Villa Acquaviva and Relais Ciavatta are roughly eight to nine miles away from Pereta.

    • There are a variety of villas and vacation homes for rent in Pereta and the surrounding area. Many homes are time shares and ideal for families traveling.

    Restaurants

    • Italian cuisine can be found at many local restaurants such as Centro Neide and Ristorante Mamma Maria. Pereta has two excellent traditional cuisine restaurants and what is considered the best pizzeria in the area.

    Car Rental

    • The best way to reach Pereta is by car. Larger cities have car rentals. An international driver's license is needed to drive in Italy.
