How to Stay in Europe Longer Than 90 Days

Option 1: Apply for a long-stay visa

If you're planning to stay in Europe for longer than 90 days, you'll need to apply for a long-stay visa. The requirements for long-stay visas vary from country to country, but they generally include:

* A valid passport with at least six months of validity remaining

* Proof of financial means to support yourself during your stay

* Proof of health insurance

* A letter of explanation stating why you're staying in Europe for longer than 90 days

You can find more information about specific visa requirements on the website of the embassy or consulate of the country you're planning to visit.

Option 2: Get a Schengen visa and a long-stay visa

If you're planning to visit multiple Schengen countries for longer than 90 days, you'll need to get a Schengen visa and a long-stay visa. A Schengen visa allows you to travel to any of the 26 Schengen countries for up to 90 days within a 180-day period. You can apply for a Schengen visa at any embassy or consulate of a Schengen country.

Once you have your Schengen visa, you can then apply for a long-stay visa for the country you plan to stay in the longest.

Option 3: Leave the Schengen zone every 90 days

If you don't want to apply for a long-stay visa, you can also stay in Europe for longer than 90 days by leaving the Schengen zone every 90 days. This means you could visit a country outside the Schengen zone, such as the UK or Switzerland, and then return to Europe for another 90 days. You can do this as many times as you want, as long as you don't stay in the Schengen zone for more than 90 days in any 180-day period.
