Will Cyprus join the Schengen Area?

Cyprus's accession to the Schengen Area is subject to the successful fulfilment of its obligations under the acquis communautaire, which includes complying with all necessary technical requirements and EU regulations.

As of October 2018, Cyprus had not yet applied to join the Schengen Area.
