Winter Tours of Switzerland

Switzerland is famous for winter sports, such as skiing, and for its mountains, such as the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. The dramatic Swiss landscape is extremely impressive during the winter, when it is covered in snow. Many tour companies provide winter tours to the area, often conducted via train for safer travel; they can include skiing, Christmas markets, and the famous Glacier Express railway.
  1. Edelweiss Tours

    • Edelweiss Tours offers two nine-day tours of Switzerland during the winter months: the Alpine Ski Tour and the Christmas Markets tour. The ski tour includes five days of skiing in the Matterhorn and Jungfrau ski areas, as well as sightseeing in Zurich, Bern, Thun and Luzern. The Christmas Market tour, which takes place in early December of each year, includes visits to various Swiss markets, as well as Christmas concerts, a cable car trip into the Alps, and a night of sledding. Tour prices include all accommodations, half of your dinners, a tour guide, entrance to museums, a Swiss rail pass, pick up at the airport, and cable car tickets.
