Two Main Language Families of Europe

The vast majority of European languages belong to two families:

1. Indo-European (Germanic, Romance, Slavic, Celtic, Hellenic, Baltic, Albanian, Armenian, etc.)
2. Uralic (Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian, Sami, and other Finno-Ugric languages)

Other families (Turkic, Semitic, North Caucasian, etc.) have smaller European presences.
