Look for a status bar when your account comes up on the computer screen. Most airlines frequent flyer accounts will be displayed with your accumulated miles.

Calculate the dollar value of your rewards mileage prior to deciding how to the rewards. An example would be using 25,000 miles for a Delta domestic ticket valued at $450. Use the calculator to divide the mileage into the actual cost. The actual cost per mile for that ticket equals .02 cents (rounded up). Many benefit programs allow you to pick other premiums such as magazine subscriptions. The average mileage cost for such subscriptions is 5,000 miles. When looking at the cost of the magazine versus the mileage needed for use, the actual cost of the subscription in the mileage program may work out to $60 or more dollars.
