How to Apply to Receive Frequent Flyer Miles

All airlines offer passengers the option of becoming members of their frequent flyer miles club. Becoming an airline's frequent flyer mile member allows you to accumulate miles on each flight you make with your airline. Usually one point per mile, but on occasion airlines offer promotions offering extra points. In addition to receiving frequent flyer miles, many airlines offer upgrades to members before other passengers, and becoming a member is easy.

  Visit your airline's website to fill out an online application to become a frequent flyer mile member. Click on the link to your airline's frequent flyer mile program, which goes by a different name on each airline, to begin filling out your application.

  Provide your airline with your name, address, age, email address and your contact information. Create a user name and a password. Minors are allowed to carry frequent flyer mile club memberships.

  Read the terms and conditions of membership, you should never sign any document, frequent flyer mile program or not, without first reading the fine print and the terms and conditions. If you accept the terms, click the box to accept and submit your application.

  Keep your confirmation page, which has your frequent flyer mile club number on it. Provide this number each time you book a flight through your airline to receive the miles from it.
