How to Combine Frequent Flyer Miles

If you are trying to get enough frequent flyer miles to book a free flight or an upgrade, you could get the bump you need by combining your frequent flyer miles with someone else. Typically frequent flyer programs allow members to share and combine their frequent flyer miles for joint use. This can be particularly helpful if one member has a lot more miles than their spouse. The combining of the accounts allows for reward booking at the same time.

Instructions

    • 1

Log into your frequent flyer account online. For example, if you are a member of British Airways' Executive Club you would go to BA.com and click on "Executive Club" to log into your account.

    • 2

Go to the account management page. Typically this is simply labeled "Manage Account" or "Manage My Account."

    • 3

Look for the "Apply for Household Account" link under the account management menu or page. Click on this link when you find it.

    • 4

Enter in the details for person or people that you want to combine frequent flyer miles with and create a household account with. In order to qualify for a combined household account all of the members must have the same address. There is typically no charge to combine miles and create a household account.
