- Dairy and meat must be sourced from within the EU. (Note: dairy cannot be sent to Northern Ireland)
- Fruits, vegetables, live plants, and cut flowers are not allowed.
- Honey, pollen, bees, insects, animals and animal products are not allowed.
- The receiver does not have to be there to sign for the package in Ireland if it is food items with a long expiration date.

Tips for Mailing Chocolate:
- Wrap the chocolate in bubble wrap or another type of cushioning material.
- Pack the chocolate in a sturdy, insulated box.
- Fill any empty space in the box with packing peanuts or another type of filler.
- Seal the box securely with packing tape.
- Attach a shipping label with the recipient's address and the customs declaration form.
- Mail the package using a trackable shipping method.
- Consider purchasing insurance for the package in case it is lost or damaged during shipping.
