What is the liffey descent?
The Liffey Descent is an annual kayaking event that takes place on the River Liffey in Dublin, Ireland. The event is organised by the Irish Kayak Association and Guinness. It is a mass participation event, with thousands of kayakers taking part each year. The event starts at the Guinness Storehouse and finishes at the Custom House. The course is approximately 8km long and takes about two hours to complete. The event is a great opportunity for kayakers of all levels to experience the River Liffey and to have some fun. There are prizes for the best fancy dress and the fastest kayaker.
