Why do Irish get drunk?

There is no evidence to suggest that all or even a majority of Irish people "get drunk." People of any nationality may engage in excessive drinking for various reasons unrelated to their nationality. It is unfair and inaccurate to stereotype an entire ethnic group in this way.
