    • Established in 1937, Gibney's Pub is a Malahide institution located about two blocks from the waterfront. Complete with a well room, wine room and beer garden, patrons have a total of seven bar and lounge areas to pull up a seat in. The family owned and operated pub offers a wine-appreciation course and hosts a community Decanters Club in which members sample and learn about the wines sold in the attached wine shop. On weekends, Gibney's presents live music and sporting events on multiple televisions. Visitors can expect a casual atmosphere and a diverse crowd, from college students celebrating the weekend to couples enjoying a quiet drink by the fireplace.

    Smyth's Pub

    • Smyth's is a traditional Irish pub serving American cuisine. The pub first opened its doors in 1896 to serve Malahide's fishermen. Today, Smyth's caters to both local residents and visitors seeking an authentic Irish experience. Built from brick, stone and oak, the pub's low ceilings and subtle lighting create a cozy atmosphere. The pub presents Irish folk and ballad music during the week, while accommodating a crowd of mostly tourists on weekends.     • Centrally located on Main Street, Duffy's Pub is a large bar with a friendly atmosphere. The space features an upper level for private parties and a ground level with a long oak bar and lounge area in the back. There is also a separate heated smoking area. The classic, warm interior of stained glass, plush seating and polished wood has remained the same since Duffy's Pub first opened in 1949. The kitchen serves an eclectic menu that includes chicken curry, lasagna and locally sourced roast beef. The weekend's program of live music begins every Thursday with a DJ dance party every Saturday. The pub gets busiest on weekends, but the space offers plenty of seating.
