The Iberian Peninsula, also known as simply Iberia or the Hispanic Peninsula, is a peninsula in southwestern Europe, which contains the countries of Spain, Portugal, Andorra, and Gibraltar. It is the second largest peninsula in Europe after the Scandinavian Peninsula, and the fourth largest in the world. The peninsula is bordered by the Gulf of Biscay to the north and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, south and southwest, and by the Mediterranean Sea to the east.
