How long does it take a Monarch Butterfly to fly from Chicago Mexico?

Monarch butterflies migrate from the northern United States and Canada to Mexico every winter. The migration begins in late August or early September and lasts until November. The butterflies fly south through the eastern United States, following a path that takes them through Texas and into Mexico. The journey is about 2,500 miles long and takes the butterflies about two months to complete.
