Why does diaz finally resign in Mexico?

Diaz resigned from the presidency of Mexico in 1911 as a result of the Mexican Revolution. The revolution had begun in 1910, and by 1911, Diaz was facing widespread opposition from both within Mexico and from the United States. In May 1911, Diaz signed the Treaty of Ciudad Juárez, which forced him to resign and go into exile in France.
