When was University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez created?

The University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez (UPRM), also known as the RUM (Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez), is a public land-grant research university in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. It is part of the University of Puerto Rico (UPR) System and is the only land-grant university in Puerto Rico. The UPRM was established in 1911 as the College of Agriculture and Mechanic Arts (CAMA) under the Morrill Land-Grant Act of 1890. The CAMA was renamed the College of Agriculture and Engineering (CAE) in 1923 and the Polytechnic Institute of Puerto Rico (PIPR) in 1946. The PIPR became the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez in 1966.
