Is the capital of Mexico a MEDC or LEDC?

Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, is considered an upper-middle income country (UMIC) according to the World Bank's classification. Therefore, it would not be considered a MEDC (More Economically Developed Country) or an LEDC (Less Economically Developed Country), but rather falls in between these categories.
