- April and late November are transitional periods during which the weather alternates between the dry and wet seasons, with showers possible but also hot and sunny periods.
- The beginning of the wet (green) season is marked by short, heavy afternoon rains, usually followed by sunshine.
- Rainfall gradually increases to reach a peak in October, with frequent all-day rains and occasional flooding.
Dry Season (December to April):
- The first half of the dry season (December to February) is usually pleasant, with moderate levels of humidity, cooler temperatures (especially in the early mornings), occasional cloudy days and sporadic morning rain, particularly on the Caribbean Coast.
- Towards the end of February, the weather becomes noticeably hotter, with strong sunshine, higher temperatures and lower humidity. This period leads up to the onset of the wet season in May.
