What did Germany ask Mexico to do?

During World War I, Germany famously sent a telegram, now known as the Zimmerman Telegram, to Mexico proposing an alliance. In the event of the United States entering the war against Germany, Mexico was offered financial support and assistance in recovering territories lost to America during the Mexican-American War, including Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.
