Where is fertile farm land in Mexico found?
The majority of Mexico's fertile farm land lies in the country's north-central region, also known as the Bajío region. States such as Jalisco, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, and parts of Zacatecas fall within this region and are known for their fertile soils and high levels of agricultural production. The Bajío benefits from adequate rainfall, irrigation networks, and favorable climatic conditions suitable for growing a wide range of crops, including corn, wheat, soybeans, fruits, and vegetables. This region has historically been considered the "breadbasket" of Mexico, contributing a significant portion of the country's agricultural output.
