Why did Simon Bolivar help Mexico get their independence?

Simón Bolívar was a Venezuelan military and political leader who played a key role in the independence of South American countries from Spanish colonial rule. While he supported the idea of independence for Mexico and sympathised with the Mexican independence movement, he did not directly help Mexico gain its independence. Bolivar's significant contributions were primarily focused on the liberation of Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia, ultimately leading to the establishment of Gran Colombia.
